We have been absent from the blog world for a while trying to get used to our "new normal". We have had more time to just live life. Liberty only has to visit the clinic once a month for blood tests, chemo and a monthly anti-biotic drip. She takes an oral chemo everyday, and a second oral on Fridays. She still has to do a 5 day stint of high dose steroids once a month as well. Every 3 months she has a spinal tap chemo. It sounds like a lot and it is, but it's not as much as before. This is maintenance. We will do this routine until May 2012. But it's doable, and it has allowed her to be back in school full time! She is doing great in school, it's like she never missed a thing. Lib's also taking piano lessons and loving it. I think we can make it. There were times I thought we couldn't, but those feelings are less frequent now. Whew.

She really is beautiful! I'm so proud of you guys and how far you have come. Keep up the good work!
What a sweetie. I know you don't know me, but I saw your blog on Rachel Smith's page. She told me all about Liberty. What inspirational girl! I can't wait until the day I read she is in full remission. Happy Thanksgiving!
Seeing that picture of her running was inspirational. She just looks so strong. I can't imagine how many days are littered with exhaustion and frustration, but that picture looks like "I'm gonna fight this thing with everything I've got, and come out triumphant!" What a champion.
Oh, and her little eyebrows and eyelashes and hair... (sigh)...She's just beautiful!
